The Student Council held its first meeting for the new year September 15, 1961. The following were elected officers: Student Council President ....... . . . . . Eric Stevens Vice President . . . . . . Barry Scott Secretary .... . . . Barbara Harris Treasurer . . . . . Karen Bradeen We voted this year to have the proceeds from the Carnival Ball go towards the Seniors' Class Trip to New York City. We also have had several entertaining activities for the students this year. We hope to sponsor some more activities in the following months which may be enjoyed by all. Barry Scott '61 42

Future Homemakers of America Our local chapter has 50 members enrolled. Our officers are as follows: President, Lola Newton, lst Vice President, Sandra Perry, 2nd Vice President, Rosemary Bennett, Secretary, Rosemary Bragg, Treasurer Carolyn Bennett, Historian, Sharon Dunn, Parliamentarian, Crystal Fothergill, Reporter, Anne Hamel, and Recreation Leader, Glenda Buck. Mrs. Chamberlain and myself attended the State Council meeting at Bryant Pond. The meeting was for State officers and advisors. Early in the fall we installed our new officers and had a supper for new members. In October we helped on the PTA Supper for the benefit of the basketball teams. November came and we put on a supper for the Aggie teachers in this area. We also planned, pre- pared, and served a supper for the Hollis Basketball team. December was a very busy month, we attended the District E Convention at Farmington. We had our annual Christmas Party, put on a supper for the School Board members from Buckfield, Leeds, Turner, and Greene. We helped work on Christmas costumes for the Elementary program. In January we made cakes for FFA district meeting. During the month of February we had a Valentine 's Party. Kathleen Warren '61 43
