Class Flower - Carnation Motto - United We Stand, Divided We Fall Colors - Maroon and Gray Senior Histor September 1958, twenty-five freshman students walked into Buckfield High School for the first time. There we had to face the Seniors, who really had it in for us. But Freshman Reception was en- joyed by everyone, including us. We held our first class meeting under the direction of Mr, Cochran, our class advisor, He left at the half year and Mr. Plummer took over in his place. Anne Southard also left us during the year, The next fall we came back as Sophomores. and Mrs. Chick became our advisor at this time. Dur- ing this year, Sandra Smith and Kathleen Gammon left us. We had a very successful Harvest Hop in November plus a paper drive and food sales. We ordered our Class rings in September and received them in November. 17
