Stage band was always filled with fun times. All year long, my day started off right with jokes, laughter, and good mu- sic. One of the best things is how every year we play at the Christmas dance for the Sheltered Workshop. That's always re- warding because they appreciate us so much. Going there isn't just playing our Instruments, but is getting Involved with the people and making them happy. Over- all, I would say that stage band was my favorite class of the day. -Rick Smiley 46 t Organiza tions Back Row: director Larry Lukas, Kathy Heine, Connie Knoechel, David Staley, Gary Butts, Rick Smiley, Phil Tossey, Wayne Sny- der, Joel Preston, Rebekah Torges, Patty Teets, David We- ber, Joe Schroeder. V Being head majorette of B. V. 's h; A H :3. band has been great for me. Try- ' 1119 to get the majorette squad to 'l 9 agree on a routine and then prac- l F5 ' .- v tlclng to get it all together was tv 1 ; l frustrating at times. We soon re- J. y alized how important those prac- h 3 tices were when it was time to B s put on our first show. The most 1 N disappointing thing for the x I e . whole band was not being able ed I e 'Y ; e to march for two of the games -i. ' T . because of rain, but doing three N victory marches made up for it. When that final game of the sea- son came and I knew It was the last time I would lead the band 7' onto the field, tears and joy of ' the season came to my mind, and I knew how much twirling and band has meant to me. -Dlane Welner Top Left: The clarlnet clan clowns around! lAmy Wtay, Heldl Vogel, Melissa Penry, Julie Pennlcksl.
