And you will find erasers, Of a very different kind, Extremely helpful, if you will try To bear these facts in mind: When you bump someone in a crowd, And almost knock her down, ll! A soft I m sorry! may bring smiles And rub out that frown. Apologies, invariably, Obliterate mistakes: And three small words, I love you! Can erase the worst heartaches. TEACHERS WEL COME HOMEROOMS WITH OPEN ARMS! The 1979-80 school year was a year of flrsts for me: first year with a new principal, first year teaching biology and senior math, and first year as a head wrestling coach. lt was my first year coaching three sports - also my last. Although coaching is a very rewarding experience, it does get to be quite time- consuming. There have been been improvements at B. V. this year, but l feel there could be many more. One thing that has not changed, and most certainly needs to be changed, is the poor attitude of so many students. There was theft, destruction, and a total disregard for the rights of others. I feel that this must be Improved in order for B. V. to be a truly great school. This change can only come about with peer pressure. lf the students want a better school, don't just complain - WORK for that change. - Bill Yost - Science Department Left to Right: Mr. William Yost - Earth Science and Biology l. Mr. Robert Dodge - General Science. Mr. Charles Schroeder - Biology l, ll. Mr. T. O'Donnell - Chemistry and Physics. 156!Facult,v, Academics Home Economics Department Left to Right: Mrs. Cheryl Newell - Home Ec. l, ll and Adv. Foods. B. V. FACULTY UP AND AT THEM! The 1979-80 school year carries with It a number of thoughts. As usual, not all of them are good, but a year or two from now, I will think back to this time and most of what I remember will be good. Some of these better thoughts will be of a new principal to get adjusted to, new textbooks for the social studies department, and last of all my daughter's graduation. All in all, it has been a fine year with good students - Alan C. King - if K ,L-' ML- :nf ' f Special Education Depart- lllellf Slttlng Left to Right: Mrs. Connie Dlebler - E.M.R.
