Teach Your Children You who are on the road Must have a code that you can live by And so become yourself Because the past is just a good-bye Teach your children well Their father's 'tell Will slowly go by And feed them on your dreams The one they picks The one you'l1 know by. Don't you ever ask them why lf they told you, you would cry So just look at them and sigh And know they love you And you, of tender years Can't know the fears ' That your elders grew by And so please help them with your youth They seek the truth Before they can die. Beliefs, goals, and shared dreams are all part of the educational recipe. A dash of enthusiasm, a pinch of creativity, a measure of stick-to-a-task, a cup when blended with knowledge and skill are part of the in- gredience of a successful life that developes to fullflllment in the heat of the every- day work-a-day world. It is a hope that the experience of each student at Buckeye Junior High will help to prepare and foster a successful life. Congratulations to the ninth graders on achieving a goal and may their beliefs and dreams raise to new heights. Thanks, too, are due to the Buckeye Leaf staff for a fine yearbook. The school attempts continually to work with parents and families in a cooperative way. Students of Buckeye are as much a product of their family life as they are of their school life. It is my hope and desire that each of you have completed Junior High School with enough knowledge and experience to carry you to the next level of education and that home and school has cooperated in such a way to assist you to become useful, well informed citizens of our community.
