Manual And Mental Dexterity Abound Supporting the school by building the supports for the activity sign was a project of the 1972-73 Industrial Arts Club. The sign had been purchased the previous school year and after the club obliged by constructing the frame, the sign is now gracing the schoolyard and informing of school events. The club took second place in the door decoration contest held at Christmas time with their assemblage in the medium of wood. The goals of the Library Club this year were numerous, but all had a common pur- pose—to better our library. The purchasing of a microfilm reader, movie projector, and the listening station combined to make this a successful year for Buckeye's bookworms. Along with the multitude of projects undertaken to stock the library with new equipment, a book fair was held. Students have the opportunity to buy pop- ular paperbacks in the comfort of their English classes during the fair. Buckeye High School Row one: J. Feocking, E. Hinman, D. Whitmyer, M. Sayre, D. Experience Gained In Technology Dedication and enthusiasm put pizazz into the work of a group of Buckeye students. Under the guidance of Mr. Robert Leget, chemistry and earth science instructor, many activities were accomplished. Lending themselves to a year of service and discovery, the school benefitted from their diligence. The laboratory assistants are basically classroom aides. Chores such as grading various papers and assisting students during classroom lab sessions in the sciences are routine tasks to the ever-helpful individuals. An equally hard-working squad is that of the darkroom assistants. The care and operation of camera and flash, different photographic techniques, and various means of photograph and negative developing are a mere sampling of the infinite number of projects these students effected in the year’s duration. Darkroom Assistants: T. Wolff. J. Petrisin, J. Houston, J. Wolff, D. Hoert. Laboratory Assistants: Bob Ferry. Chemistry; K. Wolff, Earth Science; Mike Huttinger, Earth Science; P. Schaefer, Earth Science.
