our principal o. 1. schneyer Throughout his hfe, Mr. Schneyer has been eager to accept all challenges. Being an ambitious youth, he was graduated from high school before he was sixteen and worked his way through five years at the University of Wisconsin, completing the requirements for an ad- vanced degree and earning an education in humanity as well. He came to Akron as a mu- sic teacher but it was not long before he was invited to join the administration of Buchtel as assistant princi- pal in charge of the fresh- man and sophomore ses- sions. Four years later he be- came principal of Buchtel. His experiences have taught him the capabilities of a spirited student body and faculty which he has found can be kept run- ning without being run by the administrator. With this philosophy and his en- ergetic enthusiasm, he has maintained for himself and Buchtel a high position of respect and influence in the Akron area. 14
