JUNIORS WILLIAM DIJDLEY-Pfesifieml SALLIE CLARE-Secretary. LQIS NASH-Historian. The Junior class of Buchanan Highl' is easily the most promising UD group of students known in the history of this school. In our midst We have a second Edison, and our classmate, Ralph Copher, is advancing on the road to fame as a connoisseur of precious stones, particularly Davis sapphires. Jennie D. Trail is destined to sur- pass Madame Schumann-Heink in her operatic career. Both ivocally and instrumental- ly she puts the Sirens to shame. Our talents are not confined to science and art. In athletics We also excell. Paul- ine Allen the captain of the girls' basketball team, comes from our .ranks and the staunch guard Rose impresses her opponents that this rock shall fly from its firm base as soon as lf, Our contribution to the boys' team is not to be ignored. Leo Cropper won laurels for class with his long field throws. Possum may be an ap- propriate appellation at times but in a basketball game we say '4Tiger. Not the least of our virtues is persistency. In the Freshman year we numbered 28, at present 20. We have had an unusually small percentage of loss. Need more be said? VVatch us in 1917! C125
