Fiddler on the Roof returns Fiddler on the Roof, rhe spring musicol presented Morch 14 ond 15, 1986, is o story obouf tradition ond changing values. Tevye (Orion Dock), o Jewish doirymon in pre-revolutionory Russia, faces nor only rhe challenge of his religion, but of his authority os o father. Dy the tradition rhot he ond his wife Golde (Cheryl Neitch) hold, rhe husbands for his daughters must be chosen by o morchmoker, Yenre (Louro Dock). His daughters signal rhe end of tradition. Tzeirel (Michele Durgoyne) was to be wed to rhe butcher. Lozor Wolf (Joson Deis- tle), but she instead chooses Morel, the Tailor (Mike Lowery). Hodel (Jill Scroggins) wishes to wed o young revolutionary stu- dent named Perchick (Jon Vineyard). Chovo (Lynn Dush), Tevye's favorite daughter, swings the final, unforgivable blow by morrying o Christian named Fyedko (Mott Holloway). Problems in the Russian village of Anarevko continue os rhe Jews ore evicted from the district ond must flee to other londs. Additional characters in the musicol were: Dielke (Volori Kolberg), Sprintze (Erin McKean). Mordcho ond Nochum (Gene Cosro), Rabbi (More Fannin), Mendel (Jon Jockson), Avrohm (Mott Eddington). Grand- ma Tzeirel (Jenni White), Frumo-Soroh (Poulo Riddle), the Constable (Raymond Jockson). Shondel (Goyle Morsh), Yussel (Morty Wolford), the fiddler (Derh Ann Vineyard), Sosho (Drion Dromley). two boys (Drion McKean ond Shone Smeodley). ond villagers (Angie Lowery. Andreo Smeodley, Koylene Sooles, Joby Londgrebe. Vicki Orr, Decky Young, ond Tommy Downhom). Although plagued with the flu ond laryngitis during rhe weeks before opening night, rhe production wos ployed nearly on schedule. Only the opening night au- dience held-up the curtain time for 20 minutes. The Musicol by Jerry Dock ond Sheldon Hornick wos produced through rhe deportments of music ond dromo, advised by Mrs. Carol McKeon, Mr. Scott Cromer, ond Mr. Michael Doshoro. Lynn Dush.
