When as freshmen we entered high school, the sighing cry of the pines told us a story. Planted many years ago they pushed ever upward, overcoming all obstacles which attempt- ed to harm them, until now they are tall, immov- able, and ever green. Using this as an incentive, we have striven to succeed as a class and make a name for our- selves. For the past four years, we have gone forward, putting our best into everything We un- dertook. Gradually our weaknesses were under- mined, and we burst forth in all our glory, a unit- ed body of people with but one cause-success! Whether it was the sight of those tall trees swaying slightly with the breeze, or whether it was the combined character of the class that led us on, we are victorious and are now as steadfast and immovable as those living symbols.
