i anti Mr. IT. Gaylen Strunce, Director County Supervisor of Music The High School Band, received the rating of Excellent at the Music Festival at Radford, April 20, 1940. This was the highest award received in the district. There were five bands from Southwest Virginia entered in the contest. Flutes: Jean Ford, Marie Thorne.
