There were concrete ways in which we tried to make our system effective. For example. Lateness Books were placed in each room and used with a great deal of success: the constitution was rewritten to bring it up to date. But modernizing a constitution without student cooperation is not improving the school measureably. and tllus we are proud to report that school spirit during the year was at the high level necessary to back up our specific methods and make our program effective. At commencenient as usual the Student Government award will be presented to the class which has done most to help our organization. ln conclusion. ue wish lo thank Miss Yan liihher for her untiring interest and helpful advice. Someone just has to get out of the way and let me get my things out of my locker . . . No. you can't borrow my sweatshirt twe trust this answer is correct!! . . . Wonder where I left my hockey stick . . . You'll just have to Hx these shinguards before another match: they make you like a clumsy ox . . . The Association meets in the Senior Room every other Monday afternoon for discussion of religious subjects with speakers from the ehurehes of Baltimore. This year. the Revs. Doll. Stone. Baker. and .lensen and Dr. Ashton have spoken to the Assoeiation. We also had tlte honor of having Bishop Powell. and the Rev. Nliehael Coleman, formerly of All Hallnws Chureh. lfngland. At the suggestion of llr. Coleman. the members of the Christian ,Nssoeiation and the younger girls in the st-hool are eorresponding with English ehil- dren. We hope through our eorresponrlenees to at-quaint ourselves with their aetivities and to exehange ideas. CAMERA CLUB Another year of war has meant another year of tliliieulty for the Camera Club. It is a rare oeeasion indeed that the prospec- tive film buyer does not meet this sign on the counters of photographic supply stores Sorry. no roll film today. What film that enn he obtained is used with greater foresight than in pre-war days when eam- eras elim-ked earelessly. and of course better pietures are tlte result. ln the fall hockey game snapshots predominate-the tense team line-up, the enthusiastic speelators. the jumping eheerleaders: in the winter yotl will always find pictures of shivering students carrying armfuls of books through the snow: and in the spring you can look forward to pictures of almost whole classes eating luneh out under the trees. The Camera Club bulletin board in the Garrett Building may be ehanged less fre- quently, hut it still attracts as much inter- est as ever. 30
