MAIN IV This year Class Four had no new girls. very different from last year when we had the seventeen Calverts. We have been giving one day a week to collecting scrap paper, which is our war work, and we all try to buy our monthly war stamp to raise our average to 100 per cent. Nlrs. Levering is our elass teacher and aids us in all our elass projects. Some girls are leaving next year for boarding sehoolg however, the majority are staying. So far this year our teachers have given us a tea and later on we shall give one for the seniors. l.ast fall all of our elass played hoekey and this winter we will play basketball. On the days when the gym is oeenpied with other squads. we take afternoon walks with a teaeher, which proves to he very good exereise. Some of our elass is in the filet- fflub and Camera Club. others are in the .Xrt Club. Altogether our days are very full with outside sehool aetivities. MAIN Ill Main Three has been increased to thirty- two girls this year largely on aeeount of the Calvert girls. who came meekly in. but now the shyness has completely gone. Every Thursday afternoon some of us wash ont and flatten tin eans for the scrap drive with Miss Fiesel. We all buy war stamps and some have hought bonds. Quite a few girls have made the junior varsity hockey team this year, and now that the hockey season is over. we are going to try for junior varsity in basketball. Miss Briggs. our class teacher. and Miss Sinclair have really taught Us how to handle a hot-key-stick and how to dance the Bryn Mawr way. We go for walks on days when the ground is wet or the gym is being used for other purposes. When it is warm enough. you t-an see our large class under a tree gaily eating lunch every day. After eating we gossip or play the piano in the study hall. We prefer the piano. 26
