As the traditions of an institu- tion are supposedly peculiar (very) to that institution, it is probable that fresh- men are not accustomed to this form of table talk. — at least those freshmen coming, as some of them are apt to, from politer circles. The ensuing chart, listing the correct conversation for each course will therefore be of help, es- pecially when one ' s neighbor is a debutante or an athlete, with whom one has no other common complaint.
