Regular business meetings are attended by both active and alumni brothers. These meetings were held twice a month at the Biltmore. A tew ot the Beta Iota Beta events ot I946 were its annual Starcrest Festival , Sadie Hawkins Rodeo , both held in the Auditorium, the annual February Formal held at the Metacomet Country Club, and the Rledgee Formal at the Narragansett Hotel. . The ideals ot the organization have alvvays been those of high scholastic achievement. The sorority colors are blue and white and the tlower is the Gardenia. Among the activities ot the year were the Pledgee Banguet held at Mrs. Schil- linger's, the !'Starcrest Festival , held in the Auditorium, the Sadie l-lawlsins Rodeo , which was also held in the Auditorium, and the annual Pledgee Formal at the Meta- comet Country Club.

M ISS GLIDDEIXI, MISS ALBRIGI-IT lftll of Q My SIGMA LAMBDA THETA will Sixty 'Way back in the days when most of us were just beginning to toddle, the year V928 to be exact, Bryant's first sorority, Sigma Lambda Theta, came into being. The Greek letters stand for Sisterhood, Learning, and I-lonor, and the colors, red and white, represent courage and purity. The flower is the red rose. Early in October was pledge week with the pledge banciuet on November IS, I945. . The Sigma Lambda Carnival, held in the Bryant Gym at the beginning of March was one of the social successes of the year, and an informal get-together for new members was held in the gym soon after, together with Beta Sigma Chi, the newly- organized brother fraternity, A formal dance was held in May and it proved to be a very enjoyable affair, Q14
