The girls ' track team proved strong in the 100 and 220 yard dashes and the mile due to the hard work of Marie Laux, Donna Murphy, Cindy Johnson and Tamela Johnson. The field events were headed by shot-putters Patty Houser and Jill Stauffer. Beth Ninde helped the team by consistently placing in the high jump.

The Bryant Varsity Cross-Country Team enjoyed their finest finish in the county meet in the past five years. The team tied for 2nd place with Pennville. Don Wendel finished 2nd and Steve Billington 5th in the meet. Randy Minch was with the leaders at the V i mile mark when he was sidelined with a knee injury. Other fine performances were turned in during the sea- son by Carl King, Kevin Miller, Steve Schwieterman, and Jeff Billington.
