Row 3: Randy Boice, Carl King, Joe Minch, Steve Billington, Tom Hoehamer, Mike Arnold, Coach Bob Dickison. The Bryant cinder squad turned in a successful season by com- piling a 6 win and 3 loss record during the season as well as de- fending their county crown against powerful Dunkirk, Redkey, and Pennville. A strong contingent of returning Lettermen accounted for many victories.

The Bryant Varsity Cross-Country Team enjoyed their finest finish in the county meet in the past five years. The team tied for 2nd place with Pennville. Don Wendel finished 2nd and Steve Billington 5th in the meet. Randy Minch was with the leaders at the V i mile mark when he was sidelined with a knee injury. Other fine performances were turned in during the sea- son by Carl King, Kevin Miller, Steve Schwieterman, and Jeff Billington.

Steve Billington combines talent with determination in the high jump. These three team members qualified for sectional compe- tition. Jon in the 220, Mike in the shot put, Tom in the broadjump high hurdles. Don is keeping ahead of the tough competition in the low hurdles. Tom Hoehamer leaps through the air in the broadjump. Bob Bricker gets the jump on other track participants at the start of a relay.
