The Bryant Varsity Cross-Country Team enjoyed their finest finish in the county meet in the past five years. The team tied for 2nd place with Pennville. Don Wendel finished 2nd and Steve Billington 5th in the meet. Randy Minch was with the leaders at the V i mile mark when he was sidelined with a knee injury. Other fine performances were turned in during the sea- son by Carl King, Kevin Miller, Steve Schwieterman, and Jeff Billington.

Row 2: Daria Laux, Bonnie Link, Cindy John- son, Brenda Seyler, Mrs. Turner, Sponsor. Row 3: Brenda Bricker, Carla Minch, Maureen Laux, Patty Wellman, Donna Murphy. The girls ' track team proved strong in the 100 and 220 yard dashes and the mile due to the hard work of Marie Laux, Donna Murphy, Cindy Johnson and Tamela Johnson. The field events were headed by shot-putters Patty Houser and Jill Stauffer. Beth Ninde helped the team by consistently placing in the high jump.

Row 3: Randy Boice, Carl King, Joe Minch, Steve Billington, Tom Hoehamer, Mike Arnold, Coach Bob Dickison. The Bryant cinder squad turned in a successful season by com- piling a 6 win and 3 loss record during the season as well as de- fending their county crown against powerful Dunkirk, Redkey, and Pennville. A strong contingent of returning Lettermen accounted for many victories.
