Beta C Zub This year's Beta Club provided service in several areas of school life. Beta Club members helped teachers on confer- ence days and provided a babysitting service at P.T.A. meet- ings. The Beta Club also donated a Thanksgiving basket to the Student Council Thanksgiving drive. One of the major services of the club was the coat check at home basketball games. Mu Alpha Theta The Bryan Station Mu Alpha Theta chapter proved once and for all that math can be applied to your everyday life. This year was an active one for Math Club members. Theyear began with initiation and the traditional chicken sacrifice. The club played Mu Alpha Theta bingo, made geometrical Christmas decorations, helped tabulate 21 schoolwide survey, studied numerology, and ended the year with i1 picnic at Natural Bridge. The Bryan Station Mu Alpha Theta chapter held the first state- wide Mu Alpha Theta convention. This was the start of what they hope will become an annual tradition. N ational H onor S ociety NATIONAL I I National Honor Society is an honorary service organ- ization and the NHS emphasized the service part in 1970. They had two main projects during the year. The NHS collected used books as part of the International Book Project and provided 21 tutoring service for students who requested it.
