The school was much more colorful and better decorated this year due to the efforts of the Art Club. The club decorated the halls with monthly exhibits from the National Art Gallery and original wo rks by art students. The club provided spir- Cora Spencer ..... Vire- it ribbons for each of the football games and made decorations at Christmas. Art Pree'jde' Club members worked with the drama department and made decorations for the talent show and spring play. They provided a poster making and checking ser- vice throughout the year. Nancy Emig . . . Tremm-er A special week was set aside in April as Kiddie's XVeek sponsored by the Art Club. The week's festivities was climaxed by a T065 Trot dance where every- Mrst Dcwme t' Spomm one reverted to their childhood and dressed as children. The Defenders of the Annals of Antiquity are those students who are interested in history. Al- though the club was few in number, their pro- jects included a large part of the school. They sponsored a trip to Pleasant Hill in the fall which was enjoyed by more than 100 students. Mu Alpha Theta The Bryan Station Mu Alpha Theta chapter proved once and for all that math can be applied to your everyday life. This year was an active one for Math Club members. Theyear began with initiation and the traditional chicken sacrifice. The club played Mu Alpha Theta bingo, made geometrical Christmas decorations, helped tabulate 21 schoolwide survey, studied numerology, and ended the year with i1 picnic at Natural Bridge. The Bryan Station Mu Alpha Theta chapter held the first state- wide Mu Alpha Theta convention. This was the start of what they hope will become an annual tradition.
