Summer students at Eastern Ken- tucky University were disturbed in late August by the sounds of brass and drum beats which pierced the air as the Bryan Station Marching Defenders began their annual prac- tice camp. The band members were rewarded for their efforts when they made their triumphant showing at half-time at Bryan Station football games. Orchestra and band members worked hard and practiced long hours to perfect their talents and abilities. Both musical groups per- formed at the state music con- tests and also at spring concerts at the school.
