CAYTON Teachers Inspired by ur Modern School After several years of teaching under increasingly clifhcult con- ditions as space became more and more limited, Bryan teachers took a great deal of pleasure in helping to plan our beautiful new high school. Probably the highlight of the year was February 21 when the trek to new quarters began and everyone reveled in the roominess and convenience they provided. Miss BARSTOW, a graduate of Bowling Green State University, teaches seventh and eighth grade science. She also is assistant sponsor of Student Council. Mrs. BROOK teaches typing, personal typing, junior business, and shorthand. She graduated from New York State College for Teachers. She acts as bookkeeper for the Central Fund. Mr. CAYTON is our bookkeeping, office practice, business arithmetic, business English, business law, and retail selling teacher. He graduated from Bowling Green State University and is Director of the Bryan branch of B.G.S.U. Mr. Cayton is treasurer of the Central Fund and sponsor of the Senior class and the National Honor Society. DIRECTOR OF BRYAN BRANCH OF B.G.S.U., Mr. Cayton, shows Kent Salzman college material. H. S. Office Moves junior High Has New Principal Mr. Newell spent his third year as principal at Bryan High School planning and arranging for the move from the old building to the new school. By this rearrangement, the pupils under his supervision were reduced to the upper four grades only, comprising about 580 students. Mr. Newell en- thusiastically supported and attended all of our extra-curricular activities and in addition gave us counseling on personal and vocational problems. He acted as advisor to the Student Council and served as president of the Northwestern Ohio Athletic Association. A graduate of Kalamazoo College, Mr. Newell earned his Master's degree at the University of Michigan. Besides his enjoyment of sports, a special interest of his is collecting old books. HAROLD A. MEESE B.S., M.A. Mr. Meese, previously elementary supervisor, inherited the quarters va- cated by the high school and acquired the additional title of Junior High Prin- cipal, having charge of the upper ele- mentary and Junior High pupils in the old high school building. JOSEPH S. NEWELL B.A.,M.A. Mrs. Diane Kuhn, Mr. Newell's secretary, was first to occupy the attrac- tive ofiice in our new building. She was a member of Bryan's class of 1955. DIANE KUHN

S l ORVILLE L. DALLY PAUL D. DIERKS B.S. in M.. M.M. in Ed. B.S. in Ed. Mr. DALLY graduated from Capital University and the University of Michigan, and has attended Bucknell University Music Clinic. He directs Junior and Senior Orchestra, Senior A Cappella, Junior Chorus, eighth grade music, elementary and Junior High beginning strings. He is a Senior advisor and announces all football shows. Mr. Dally also serves as Host Co-Chairman of Northwest Regional Orchestra. Mr. DIERKS is a teacher of language arts and geography in .the seventh grade core program. He graduated from Bowling Green State University and attended Depauw University last summer. He is a seventh grade sponsor. Mr. EBERSOLE, is the driver training instructor, and has charge of the elementary and ninth grade physical education. He is also Athletic Director, head basketball coach, and co-advisor for Varsity Bf' Coach Ebersole graduated from Defiance College and Indiana University. Mrs. FISHER is the Sophomore English teacher and class advisor. She is a graduate of Washington University. Mr. FRISBIE is a graduate of Miami University and teaches ,welding, mechanical drawing, sheet metal, and woodworking.
