3 ss F. HAUGER B.A., M.A. MEMORIAM As we began our Senior year, we were saddened by the absence of Mr. VV. F. Hauger, who passed away July 20, 1957. Mr. Hanger was a teacher in Bryan High School for thirty-one years, during which time he taught journalism, English, and literature. He was an advisor to Mask and Sandal for twenty-one years, and he directed all the Sen- ior class plays during the time he was here. He was the originator of Hi-Life, which won many awards for excellence. We dedicate our book to his memory, mindful of the words of Oliver Wendell Holmes which he taught to so many of us: Build thee more stately mansions, O my soul, As the swift seasons roll! Leave thy low-vaulted past! Let each new temple, nobler than the last, Shut thee from heaven with a dome more vast, Till thou at length art free, Leaving thine outgrown shell by lifefs unresting seal
