Foreword From the starting gun to the final ribbon, a runner en- dures hardship and discipline for a prize as minor at- tractions are subjugated under a higher order of values. This year at Bryan has been a race for excellence in knowledge, spiritual understanding, and social accep- tance. Running through our daily tasks, running into obstacles and new ideas, and perhaps running by some opportunities, we were sustained by conferences with Christ , our coach. This, then, is the record of our running, the COMMONER of 1967. I L - ..-  « ' i c C -l I ' « • . w wHK Dedication Although your helpfulness, your willingness to work, and your practicality have meant much to us, the reality of Christ that we see in you has challenged us to seek Him. With this in mind, we gratefully dedicate the 1967 COMMONER to you, Mr. Richard Cornelius. Administration Dr. Theodore C. Mercer President 10 The Academic Council serves as an executive committee of the faculty in developing and implementing academic policy.
