tudent Leaders Receive Gold Cougar One ol those people who never seem to meet a responsibility too big for them, .Janice Grammer proved her leadership ability time after time at BA. Always con- cerned, she listened intently to the feelings of other people and stood up for her own in all situations. During her junior year, she coordinated the activities of 300 girls as President of Spirits. Recognizing her sincere interest in BA students, the administration chose her to serve on the dress code committee with teachers, parents, and principals. As an active participant in the LIFE program, Janice worked many hours on planning the BA lab and Saturday session. This year, Janice was Secretary of the Student Council and Co-humor Editor of the Senior Pub. Craciously accepting her duties, Janice met her responsibili- ties with enthusiasm. She worked faithfully in the office for three years and was a member of Cothurnus Club. Well-liked by both faculty and student body, it only seemed natural that Janice would carry two or three major responsibilities at a time. The el Conquislador is proud to recognize Janice Grammer by pres- enting her the Gold Cougar Award. J amce Grammer X il I WNXX. Z

Cordon Evans ,Q 0 5' .. -im Quiet but firm dedication were fitting words used to describe Gordon Evans. Both in the classroom and in extracurricular activities, his faithfulness and per- severance marked him as an outstanding individual. Gordon played varsity basketball for two years, and he served as co-captain this year. Under his leadership, BA won the Consolation Division Championship Prize at the Dr. Pepper Christmas Tournaments. Practicing long hours with the team and working closely with the coaches, Gordon dedicated his time and ener- gy toward creating a better basketball team for Bryan Adams. Cordon worked in the office all three of his years at BA, and his dependability made him a favorite with the administration. He approached his office duties with the same dedication and pride that made him a success as a basketball cap- tain, and his responsible attitude toward school business won him respect from the faculty. As a member of Senior Council, Gordon gave unselfishly of his time to do whatever was needed of him. As an honors student, his classroom perform- ances echoed the determination that pushed him above and beyond in all of his other activities. All in all, Cordon was a sincere and determined individual who was firmly dedicated to BA. To such a person, the el Conquistador is proud to present the Cold Cougar Award. ,-, if L' .- .,,, H

Patti Parker ,ftir-is. Spf 'RMP' Www Involvement was the key word that described Patti Parker's life at BA. With a natural desire for perfection, she did a lot, and she did it well. One of Patti's most outstanding activities was her position on SUPER-SAC, the Superintendenfs Student Advisory Committee. She made frequent trips downtown to meet with Dr. Estes and to offer suggestions for creating harmony within the school district. Excelling in journalistic activities, Patti was photogra- pher and ad manager for the Cougar Crossroads, and she won honorable mention for her photography at the Trinity University Journalism Workshop. Patti donat- ed hours of her time as editor-in-chief of the Senior Pub, and she was elected State Vice-President of the lnterscholastic League Press Conference. A two-year participant in Life Leadership Labs, Patti was one of the leaders in organizing Bryan Adams' labs. Never seeming to run out of energy, Patti participated in Belles, Cothurnus Club, Thespians, National Honor Society, Senior Council, Quill and Scroll, and the tutoring program. Her enthusiasm did not stop with school activities, for she was the first teenager to be on the Inter-Club Council of the YMCA. An intelli- gent and interested girl, Patti received a letter of Commendation from the Na- tional Merit Scholarship Corporation. The el Coriquistaflor is proud to present the Cold Cougar Award to a person as vivacious and involved in life as Patti Parker. .......-
