Pep Assembly Reflects Traditional BA Spirit Cheers, chants, pep tallcs, and pertormances by the Belles and maiorettes composed the list ot ingredients that made this year's pep assemblies enjoyable tor the students. Each week, the cheer- leaders created slcits that ranged trom the Great Shrinking Machine to Tommy Troian and his arch- enemy, Calvin Cougar. These slcits depicted the upcoming victories. Spirits, in their white slcirts and green blazers, 'filled the auditorium with constant enthusiasm throughout the assemblies as the Spirit Jug was opened and closed by the Cougar, Linda Ross. The Belles and the Spirits pertormed hand routines to such tunes as l Dig Roclc and Roll Music and The Spinning Wheel. As the year continued, the high spirit represented concrete evidence ot the student body's tast loyalty tor the tootball team. TOP RIGHT: Head maiorette, Kathy Brittain, performs one of her dance routines during the pep assemblies. RIGHT: Cougar Linda Ross brealrs out of cereal box for a slrit in the assemblies.
