Shocking colors of orange, pink, and blue burst from the doors as students spill out onto the parking lot. Some Cougars remain to attend after-school classes and club meetings. Four o'clock in the afternoon signals the time for small circles of friends to exchange classrooms for the Dairy Queen, or a sport practice, or a club activity. Crowded school halls once more retain the echoes of the day. Whether involved in the after-four school day routine of study and conver- sation with others or in the pleasure of a week- end party or show date, students find the circles of friendship, small and large, continuous and lasting. 'En'- EL CM DEDICATED TO CIE, CE TEACHER OF YEAR 4Lt1'vS3Kf?'O?,22'!??Cs. M r. Atwood model! hi: neu' tozzmttr. A booming voice resounding throughout first floor, followed by a burst of spontaneous student laughter evidence the presence of Mr. Gary Atwood at Bryan Adams High School. His sonic-range voice and sense of humor, while hallmarks ofthe Atwood personality, are only outward measures of his superior teaching ability and interest in students. Mr. Atwood, in addition to teaching chemistry and advanced biology classes, sponsors the Bryan Adams Science Club. Under his leadership, this club initiated the Annual Science Symposium to which students come each spring from high schools all over Texas. Somehow, Mr. Atwood still finds time for a project in mutations research at North Texas State University in Denton. We, with Atwoodian enthusiasm, add our voice to those many others who named him 1967 Science Teacher of the Year, and with pride and appreciation dedicate the 1967-68 El C01zq1zi.rlaa'0r to Mr. Gary Atwood.
