Mr. Kwaterski has taught us respect for our school, our friends, and ourselves. He is more than a teacher and a principal to us. He is a friend available whenever anyone seeks advice, judgment or ideas. We feel honored to be his first graduating class at B.H. S. We wish to extend our heartfelt thanks for the patience he has displayed toward us and the guidance he has given us during the past year. Wilbur Fabry, Treasurer; Harry Swoboda. And dawn today Broad arch above the road We came. We march! A group of fifty-two students made up the Freshman class of 1952. We were a large happy group of Greenies . With the assistance of our capable advisors. Mrs. Long, and Mr. Dunn, we were outstandingin many ways. Our class officers were: Patrick Neuville, President: Vice President. Karen DeNamur; Secretary-Treasurer. Joanne Lampereur. Evelyn LeRoy represented our class on the student council. We all survived a rather hectic initiation party and then Carnival time tolled around. Karen DeNamur was se¬ lected Queen Candidate, and she chose Donald Lardinois for her escort. Representing our class in cheerleading was Joanne Lampereur, Joanne Swoboda and Karen Vandertie. Out first year at Brussels High School came to a close. In 1953 we entered school as Sophomores. We were the largest class in school that year. Our class was very active. Many of our members participated in many extra-curricular activities including Sports, Class Plays, Band, Chorus, Forensics and Dramatics. Robert Delotit was elected President. Vice President was Donald Lardinois. Margaret Diet served the class as Secretary. Our Treasurer was Bill Wagner. Our Student Council member for that year was Diane Neinas. Joanne Lampereur and her escort, Milton Rass, represented the Sophomore class at the Carnival that year. Mr. Vanderheyden and Miss Verhalen were our class advisors. Our class rings arrived with our Junior year. This made us truly upper classmen. With the guidance of our advisors, Mr. Buth and Mr. Flatten, we transformed our gymnasium into a beautiful Dreamland . Milton Delwiche was elected King and he chose Diane Neinas to reign as his Queen. We elected Keith Wautlet as our President and Milton P.ass served as Vice President. Robert Delorit served as Treasurer. Evelyn LeRoy took over the duties as Secretary. Joanne Lampereur served on the Student Council for our class. Karen Vandertie was elected Carnival Candidate for ' 54. Karen chose Keith Wautlet as her escort. As the year ended we found it hard to believe we had completed three years of high school and our last year at Brussels High School would soon be upon us. In the fall of 1955, we entered Brussels High School to complete our high school ed- ftucation. We found forty-eight young people in our class. Instead of being gay laughing students, we found ourselves being more serious and having goals in mind. Some of us were looking ahead to college and some to work in different fields. Margaret Diet was elected as our President, Linda Cotnette our Vice President, and Jeanette Vandertie as Secretary. Karen DeNamur took over the duties as Treasurer. Diane Baudhuin was elected Queen for the first Homecoming in Brussels. She was es¬ corted by Milton Rass, who reigned as King in place of Donald Lardinois. Mrs. Christianson and Mr. Flatten were our competent advisois from whom we ob¬ tained many worthwhile and successful money-making ideas. Among them were out magazine campaign and our jewelry sales. As Seniors we took over the responsibility of producing the Bronco . We all looked forward to Graduation, some rather sadly and others very anxiously. We rose from green freshmen to sensible men and women all in four short years. Our class contributed much to Brussels High School. Our boys worked hard in Basketball, Football, and Baseball. We presented many plays which took ability and talent. We had members who were excellent musicians. There is potential materials for many walks of life. We shall always remember our happy times and many hours of study spent here at Brussels High School. As we step into the world, we shall try to put into practice our learning and accept the responsibilities society bestows upon us. Sometime. 1966 Dear Linda, Today as 1 was teaching Arithmetic, one little boy asked me how he could become a million¬ aire. Since you and your husband have acquired so many millions, perhaps you could write and inform him. 1 know he. as well as I, will appreciate it. Next week our Senior Class of ‘56 is having a reunion. 1 hope you can attend. 1 am writing you of the whereabouts of out classmates. Germaine B. now keeps her husband company on his milk route. It has grown considerably. One of his best customers is Lyle L. Rachel B. and her famous surgeon husband have just successfully performed the most difficult heart operation on Karen V. It seemed to skip a beat every time she went past a certain Drafts- ! man ' s office. flS I just read Gerald B. ' s sport column in the New York times. He predicts Don L. ' s team of the University of Wisconsin is a 2-1 favorite over Bill W. ' s of Southern California in the Rose Bowl, a Francis P. is going to give a play by play report of that game on our local O. K. TV station. ' Channels?, owned by OrbieK. Last night, 1 saw Milton D. modeling his own creations of Arrow Shirts on that station. The director was Carolyn Long. Larry D. on vacation at Las Vegas won so much money at the Silver Dollar that he hasdecided to purchase the town. He has taken MUton R. in as his partner. The Delwiche Brothers, Ronald and Roy, have just established a new Delwiche Dairy and ate manufacturing a new kind of powdered milk. Carol K. rang my doorbell the other day. At present she is the leading salesman selling Max Factor Cosmetics. 1 read in Photoplay that Darrel L. was very surprised to heat that Judy M. is to be his leading lady in his next movie for the Martin L. production TO BRUSSELS AND BACK . ' Audrey W. has fulfilled her dream. She is now the leading hair stylist in New York. Donna Sacotte ' s p oodle hairdo is the rave around her husband ' s college town. It was Audrey ' s own creation. Did you see in this morning ' s paper where Janice J. husband ( who plays for the Bravesjhitthe longest home mn in history in Milwaukee? Keith W. caught the ball on his million dollar ranch which covers half of Brussels, two seconds after it was hit. It must have been propelled by one of Dale W. ' s jets. William T. is now a liquor salesman; his dad is retired. His business has grown so rapidly he has employed another bookkeeper. Her name is Germaine P. Pat L. and Ron E. after letting the kids do the chores for a while, went on their long awaited honeymoon. In Hawaii they metBev. S. and her husband vacationing. As they were going through customs they were very surprised to see Jeanette V. She is the receptionist at the Customs Office. Joannes., who was the head majorette at Marquette University, is married and living near me school.
