One more year of high school is now history for our class of I 4.6 juniors and we are looking forward to our fourth and final year at good old Brussels High School. This past year was a memorable one for our class. Some of the highlights were the receiving of our class rings, the prom, and our Junior Class Play. The following class officers were elected: Mary Ann Chaudoir, President; Donald Kerscher, Vice-President; Joe Boulanger, Secretary-Treasurer; and Gary Fontaine was our Student Council Representative. Mrs. Sweeney and Mr. Buth were our class advisors. Talent was shown in many fields by members of our junior class. Two members of our class were in the cast of the one- act play, The Fog ,which advanced to the finals in the state dramatics contest. Many of our boys were members of the championship football team and are eagerly awaiting next season. We were also well represented in other sports. Cleda Columb and her escort, Allen Alexander, represented us in the Carnival Court o f Honor. At the beginning of the second semester our class took over the publication of the Nine Til Four ' 1 with Virginia Bouche serving as editor and Bonnie Neinas as assistant editor. May our final year better adjust us for the future which lies ahead. 17

On September 1, 5U students returned to Brussels High School as sophomores, We are the largest class in high school this year. We all hope to remain a large class through¬ out our high school years. On October 2, we welcomed the freshmen into high school with an initiation party. Many sophomores participated in extra¬ curricular activities such as one-act plays, class plays. Band, Chorus, Forensics, and Sports. This year’s football team was made up of several boys from our class. Our class officers are Robert Delorit, President; Donald Lardinois, Vice-President; Margaret Dier, Secretary; Bill Wagner,Treas- urer; and Diane Neinas, Student Council Rep¬ resentative. Miss Verhalen and Mr. Vander- heyden serve as our class advisors. Joanne Lampereur and Milton Rass repre¬ sented the sophomores at the Carnival. The school year of 1953-195U is almost at an end now but it is our sincere hope that we all will return to Brussels next school term as Juniors. 19
