FIRST ANNUAL BRUSH EGG-EATING CONTEST After viewing the movie Cool Hand Luke in which Paul Newman eats fifty hard boiled eggs in one hour, it was decided that BRUSH would hold its own contest while at sea in the Tonkin Gulf. Captain Norton acted as the official judge and Lieutenant Com- mander Junghans acted as the timekeeper. Each division was represented, as well as the officers and chiefs. Each contestant had amanager who peeled the eggs and provided moral support when the going got rough. The- contest lasted one hour, even though several contestants didn't last that long.
