After a hard fought game we were defeated 67-64. Leggett and Colombo had 17 while Wolfe added 14. We then traveled to Sugarcreek and came up with an 84-36 win. Colombo led scoring with 17 while Beans and Krocker added 12. f Dennison invaded our hardwood next and we trounced them 92-66. Leggett ripped the nets for 41 points while Colombo added 22. ' We then played Port Washington on our home court. Seeking revenge we defeated them 86-59. Leggett potted 30, Colombo swished in 23. V In our first tournament game we drew Tusky and defeated them 97-55. Leggett potted 30, Colombo added 29. We next met Stonecreek, and in a thrilling game all the way, we were defeated 70-67. Colotnbo had 29, Leggett followed with 21 . We then met Tusky again and turned them back 89-67. Leggett netted 23, Colombo 22. Strasburg was our next game and we tumed them back in a thrilling game 62-54. Leggett had 26, Colombo 18. We next encountered the Troians of Tusky Valley and thumped them 96-58. Colombo potted 30, Wolfe and Leggett had 19 and 18 respectively. In the first ame of the Sectional we met Kilbuck and defeated them 91- 52. Leggett netted 27, Colombo 18, and Wolfe adged 17. ' Next came Stonecreek. Seeking revenge we won a hard fought game 76-71. Colombo, for the second time this year potted 42 points, Beans added 13. Vxalnutcreek was next and we defeated them 77-58 for Sectional champs. Colombo netted 21, Wolfe followed wit 18. ln our first game of District, we met and defeated Adena by a score of 94-'68. Colombo had 32, Wolfe added 21. Against Gnaden for the District Cham ionshi we came through with a 73-59 victory. Leggett potted 30 points. Colombo and Wolfe added apiece. ln our first ame in the Regional, we defeated a tall Vienna team 64-62. Dick Leggett's basket in the final seconds provi d the win. Leggett 'netted 27, Beans followed with 10. A I Our next game was against the tough Savannah Sailors .' Once again Leggett flipped one through in the closing seconds to give us a 61-60 win. Colombo scored 24, Leggett 15. ' We now had achieved what some 614 Class A schools had been hoping to. We were going to play in the State finals at Columbus . We drew Ayersville, now state champs. As you all know we were defeated 71-57, hi 26 per cent of our shots. That concluded our basketball season with a 21 and 10 record. We would like to thank our coach Pete Hilliard for guiding us all the way to Columbus. Also we want to thank Mr. Zack and all who made our wonderful stay in Columbus possible.
