BASEBALL Row 1: Tom Wanosik, Lonnie Fulp, Chuck Colletti, Larry Swinderman, Tom Krocker, Kenny Haney, Jim Meese. Row 2: Coach Hilliard, Bill Housel, Dave DeMattio, Jerry Benedum, Lonnie Wolfe, Dick Leggett, Jesse Elliott, Phil Zack, Manager. BASEBALL Midvale 5, Gnaden 8. Wolfe, relieving Leggett in the 4th inning was the losing pitcher. In batting, Wolfe had a double with Colletti, Swinderman and DeMattio adding singles. Midvale li, Tusky 4. Leggett was the winning pifCl'1eff although being relieved by Wolfe in the 6th. Swinderman collected 2 doubles and a single, while Benedum collected 2 doubles. Midvale 5, Strasburg 1. With Leggett again doing the mound duties and contributing a home-run, double and single, with Swinderman adding 2singles, Midvale downed Strasburg with ease. Midvale 5, Strasburg 9. Leggett was the losing pitcher, with Midvale only getting 5 singles to a losing cause. Midvale 3, Strasburg 4. Wolfe was the losing pitcher. Krocker and Belknap each contributed 2 singles to a hard fought ball game. Midvale 3, Tusky 2. Midvale downed Tusky once more, with DeMattio going all the way. Leggett and Benedum had doubles. COUNTY AND EASTERN DISTRICT CHAMPS Row I, Charles Colletti, George Sours, Roy Branan, Tom Wanosik, Dave Tolloti, Donald Marshall, James Clark, Jesse Elliot. Row 2: Coach Beaber, Russell Hobart, Harry Dotts, Lonnie Fulp, Lonnie Wolfe, Jerry Benedum, John Beans, Larry Swinderman, Loren Beans, William Kerschbaumer,Manager. Row 3: Gary Haney, John Baldwin, John Colombo, Dick Leggett, Terry Hiller, Larry Gibbs, William Housel , Dave DeMattio . TRAC K Midvale had a very successful track season, winning both the County and District Meets. In the County we amassed a total of 67 V3 points. Leggett led with I6 V4 points, scoring Firsts in the high and low hurdles, high iump, and was amember of the winning 880 yard relay team. Swinderman was close behind with I4 IX4 points with first place in the 220 yard dash, second place in the I00 yard dash and broad iump, and was anchor man on the 880 yard relay team. In the District we collected a total of 65 points . Swinderman took scoring honors with I6 IX4 points, scoring first in the 220 yard dash, and broad jump, third in the I00 yard dash, and also was a member of the 880 yard relay team which took first place.
