FOOTBALL Although the Blue Devils lost the majority of their games this past season, they canbe proud of the fact that, win, lose, or draw, they played the game clean. Their co-operation with the coach and among themselves, their Honest, Ambitious, and Mannerly Characteristics both on and off the field, and their constant perseverance madethem CHAMP'S despite their losses. Out of the 27 boys who reported for practice at the start of season, 12 were returning letter- ing seniors, next years team should have the material and experience it needs to finish on top. At the seasons end the following seniors were given awards during the annual Football Banquet sponsored by the P.'l'.A.: Jack Craigo, Sylvester Calta, and Lee Walter - first awards: Harland Chidsey, Bill Fish, Ed Kytta, and George Loeber - second year awardsg Tom Mueller and Don Towslee - fourth year awards. Tom Mueller was elected Honorary Captain for the '55 season men.
