A New School Year, A New When we returned for the 78-79 school year most of us knew all registration and scheduling information would be handled by computer, but we wondered what it would be like. In homeroom the first day of school, students received their schedules that the com¬ puter had printed out. Stu¬ dents had a number for their classes, their homeroom, their teachers, even for themselves. Many students found mistakes on their schedules, but were told they had to stay in their present classes for the first week. Some students decided that they could not survive in certain classes and decided to change their schedule, with Dr. William Powell’s approval. Many got their wish and were placed elsewhere but some were denied transferral and had to learn to tolerate the class. All in all, with the num¬ bers and mistakes, computer registration and scheduling went well. TOP: As they talked over their schedules, William Mays, Jeanne Wright, Doris Lewis, and Lora Taylor decided that things weren ' t so bad after all. CENTER: Seniors filed in to start making some of the many deci¬ sions which a senior must make.
