December ushered in Christmas thoughts and the Hi-Y emphasized the im- portance of thinking of others before our- selves. Sponsored by the Hi-Y, the pupils brought food and clothing to give to sixty needy people in the community. The Tri-Hi-Y and Hi-Y clubs led the assembly program accompanied by the band who played carols. Basketball a c t i o n saw victories for boys ' and girls ' teams before we went home for a long awaited holiday. DEC 5

Anxious Juniors and Seniors contemplate future plans as they listen to representatives from colleges, nursing schools, armed forces, business schools, and other groups. Records were broken as Seniors presented the comedy Rest Assured to fatten the class treasury. Football season comes to a close with a spectacular last minute two touchdown win over Park View and 13-12 loss to Randolph Henry. Football season ending, girls look forward to their participation in sports- -basketball.

”1 wish I had started studying before now” becomes the familiar refrain as examinations cause frantic last minute cramming. The most beautiful sight in January is snow and ice which give extra vacation days to pupils who eagerly tune in local radio and T. V. to hear the news NO SCHOOL TODAY!
