TO THE STUDENTS OF BROWNSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL The rapid growth in population of this area is being reflected in the High School enr ollment. Since the cla s s of '50 enrolled as freshmen they have witnessed a growth which has nearly doubled the high school population. Competition for leadership will be increasingly keener in both the academic and extra-curricular activities. It is gratifying to see new faces on our campus bringing new skills and new ideas. The student body is to be congratulated upon the friendly acceptance andwelcome tothose who bring a positive contribution to student life. By this process of gracious but discriminating acceptance you have strengthened the school's tradition of recog- nizing high standards of conduct. Everyone should be proud of the fact that as num be r s have increased the indi- vidual has not lost his identity and importance. Let us strive to keep it this way! R 5 '. ff! ' ,IOHN F. BARRON Superintendent
