Class of 1955 In ’53 we migrated to the Senior High to become the LITTLE sophomores. After a few months of being shoved around, we began to know the teachers and the routine of the school. It was a hard struggle, but we finally made it. We were the smart juniors. By this time we were pretty well acquainted with the place. It was now our turn to keep the sophs” in line. We worked hard and the time flew. Before we knew it, it was time for summer vacation. When classes resumed in the fall, we had quite a surprise. Instead of the dull, dark school we came to a bright, freshly painted classrooms. It gave a warm feeling to the students. Now we were the sophisticated seniors. We were it,” so we thought. We spent a long, tough year keeping up with all the activities. But finally the big day was to come— Commencement; no more staying up late to get our homework done for class the next day. Although we couldn’t wait to graduate, we had the feeling of sadness within us. The memories of our high school days will always be with us throughout the years as we go along life's road. —5—
