In dedicating this volume to the teachers we pay a well deserved tribute to the fine men and women who have guided and trained the youth of the community for citizenship in a democratic world. To the ten members of the faculty who have been serving in the armed forces we express our thanks for your grand loyalty and send greet- ings, with sincere wishes for your safe return to us in the near future. To the seventeen women and thirteen men who have carried on the active work of school throughout the year, we wish to offer our sincere appreciation for your patience and help in piloting us through stress and strain of these war darkened years. We stand at attention to honor you for your sincere loyalty and leadership. We will strive to be worthy of the trust and faith you have in us and, in a great measure, live up to the ideals you have set before us. -5-
