T he Students Organize The representative of the student body is the Student Council, which IS made up of twenty five repre sentatxves, one from each home room This governing body grants charters for every school organization, gives permxssion for parties and entertainments to the various clubs and develops new ideas for the growth of school citizenship Durmg the past year the constitution and by laws of the council have been revised and brought up to date A complete detailed hall patrol system has become effective wherein various members of the student body are stationed in the corridors during class changing in order to silence unnecessary noise and to speed traffic onward Conducting a lost and found department, regulating party and social functions, raising the scholastic standards of pupils with falling grades, and sponsoring the year bool: On the Mon, are some of the duties of the council committees At one time during the year the council spent about two months m overhaulmg the Point Award Sys tem for making awards in Extra Curricular Activitxes, and as a result of its efforts the system has been points in Extra Curricular Activities during his three years m Senior High School All in all, membership charters have been awarded to twenty different school organizations this year by the councnl and these orgam zatxons are the only ones that can give credit towards these awards The council s hrst ofhcial act was to sponsor the election of class officers which was held a short time after the opening of school A period of time was allowed in order that every one might become acquainted w XF-K9 A 21 - . - - - - - u yr , . . worked out on a time basis.
