Hap' Hzp' Hooray' ami, 1 1-1 ,,..,, In s1m1lar manner the football squad got off to a flymg start for ln the last week of August, 1937 a small band of from fifty to sixty people on whose shoulders hung the future of the Brownsville Grid machme set out for the football camp In the moun tams beyond Uniontown The majority of the number conslsted of football players whlle the smaller portion was made up of cooks coaches managers and a few friends The time at camp was spent rn studying the fundamentals of the game of football and in puttmg the boys rn up top shape for the gruellrng season which was to follow A swlmmmg pool and tennis courts were avmlable to all those who were mterested rn these sports Good food and entertamment were provnded by the renowned cool: ohn Smxth Revexlle was usually sounded at 7 00 am and lxghts went out at 9 00 pm at whnch tnme approxxmately ten boys gathered m each of the electrxcally lnghted cabins Several days before the opening of school, camp was broken up and trammg was contmued on the home grounds MR ASCHMAN MR BRUCE SCflmm3gC 1 7 MR SEPSI
