H., 9-if CLASS HISTORY We, the Seniors of '46, entered B. H. S. in September l9-42, with a class of fifty-two members. That fall we sponsored a box supper to pay our admission to all the home games of the basketball season. The class was sponsored - that year by Mr. Graves and Mr. Spurgeon. and class officers were Joe Vermilya, president: Niles Knost. vice president: Joe Ballard. secretary and treasurer. The next year we were over that green stage and we began to adapt ourselves to the ways of the upperclassmen. We had such special activities as a record dance and a picnic. Our class leaders were Ralph Kinworthy, president: Alta Wolka, vice president: Don Stall, secretary and treasurer: and Mr. Harrod and Miss Patterson, sponsors. Our junior year is well to be remembered. We produced the play. Sulphur and Molassesf' Our other means of raising funds for the prom were a sweater hop, concessions at the basketball games, and the sale of personalized station- ery. We had several picnics-fat the forestry, Vallonia Lake. and even Brown County. ln the spring we gave the best prom yet with a wonderful swing band from Bedford. Mar- gie Wray reigned as prom queen, with Betty Wilson and Martha Burden as her attendants. Our class ofiicers were Ralph Kinworthy, president: Don Stall. vice president: Joe Q Y 'Q Ballard, secretary and treasurer. Once again Miss Patterson was our sponsor. Entering our final year of high school, we lost Ralph Kin- worthy, Gene Cox. l-eRoy Pollert. Bill Gossman, and Lindy Trowbridge to Uncle Sam. Among other things, we have sponsored two dances, a chili lunch, an amateur contest, and presented our Senior play, A'For Pete's Sake. We have also had some wonderful picnics and parties this year. There are thirty-three of us. and we feel that we have filled our role as dignified Seniors quite well. We have tried to set only +' the very best examples for our worthy underclassmen. The i memories of B. H. S. will linger with us always, whatever we may do and wherever we may go. This, our final year, l has been successfully conducted by the following class oflicers N and with Miss Held as our sponsor: Don Stall , President Kenneth Monday Vice President Gene Mulberry Secretary Margie Wray . ,.,. Treasurer
