Activity meetings were held each Nlonday night and the major sports included softball, basketball. volleyball. tumbling, and traclt. Informal record dances after all home games were sponsored by this group and were well attended throughout the year. The semifformal Christmas dance was the big event ot' the year and was held on December l6 in the library. 'lihe club sent seven delegates to Play Day at Indiana University on January 27. The Hi-Y Club had 26 members this year. ln addition to the regular club meetings. the group sponsored a convocation with R. .l. Duke, state secretary of Hi-Y. as the principal speaker. ln order to boost their treasury. the HifY boys agreed to take charge of concessions for the Invitational Basketball Fliourney held here on .lanuary 5. This later involved scrub- bing floors for some of the new members.
