CLASS POEM 1 Some poets have written of tragedies and romance, Others of things that will come to pass, I have written of something special-- Of course 1t's the senior class In this poem you'll hear predictions And things that are really true I consider it a great pleasure To speak of this class to you Some of the finest boys and girls will leave old B H S this year We will all truly miss them, And they'll leave many memories dear And new I must deliver my message I must not tarry, for time will soon fly, As I mention each with his attributes While some of you gasp and others sigh If you've ever passed the school house And heard a lot of noise, It was Ruth Ann Stotz yelling For the basketball boys When she gives out with nwhistle Boom Or our standby, WThe Old Time F1ght,H It makes tke oldfr ones young again, And the young ones scream with delight Margaret Ke tner fjUSt call her Maggiel Is one that can't be beat ae remember her in the play nN1ss Smartyn As the girl who's dumb but sweet She's really not so dumb though, We rho know her all agree, But she certainl, played her part well As all could plainly see Betty Knott, Is always a She can make to cry She's liked the ot you clown of the class, of fun, laugh when you want by everyone If your books are hid Or your pencils broke Just blame it on Betty It's just another joke ll Lib Knott is the domestic type And has good looks with it, too, When her husband'says, nHoney, a ch my pants,n She won't say, Wwhy don't you Shefll lite right in and set to work And make them look deluxe She'll hide all frayed edges, And not leave any tucks And then there's Norbie Herrmar President of his class and captain of the team, when he ran out upon the floor You could hear the girls all scream He was a square shooter, Seemingly mild and meek, But he really had the spirit And a basketball technique Wava Lee Atkinson, voted beauty of the class, Is really 1 tr at for the ere When she walks down the halls at school, You should hear the boys sigh She has a bright smile end flaming red hair And is always ready with a cheerful word, blains, too, Or o that' what I've heard Hhere trere's Wava Lee, there' also Yathryn McCory, Thef're the yerf best of friend , Katie gets along with everyone And doesn't haze to make amenc She's verf good in shorthand And good in typing too, Je lnow she'll be a great sue cess In whatever she attempts to df If you should glance outside the door, And there's just a boy and girl in view, No doubt 1t's Tom and Norma T , Pitching a little woo P C 0 o ' t , 2 12 . , ' - 3 3 I L . , o 13 F 0 o 1 ' 5 , i In I 4 J A L Q I I . l .
