C 4455 Un JUNIOR HISTORY Three years ago sixty Green l reshies marched into the assembly. At that time they were a bashful group of girls and boys who had a feeling of inf feriority as they gazed upon their upper classmen. Hut as time went on they took their place in the High School activities. In their Freshman and Sophomore years they had but one party each year. This year they have helped stage the Junior-Senior Carnival and worked and saved in other ways for the big event, and the Junior Re- ception. They hope, with the assistance of Miss Denny, their Sponsor, to make it bigger and better than ever. The Juniors were well represented in athletics. Their supremacy in interclass basketball is shown by their possession of the Old Shavin' Mug. They feel that the activities and experiences of the first three years of High School has prepared them for Seniordom. President .,.,eeeeeee , celleorge Eastin Vice-President ....,, e ee.e. C 4455 Op SOPHOMORE HISTORY When we entered high school as Freshman we felt rather timid and shy, but this year it is quiet different. We now watch this year's Freshman pass with the same feeling we experienced. When we entered high school we had 65 members. Last year we lost Bobby Melvin, who moved away, Florence Hupp, Stanley England, Melvin Silence, Robert Miller, Nellie Allman, and Robert Braden. This year we entered with 49 students. During the year we lost Jim Patterson, Evelyn Goss, and Richard Wessel, who moved away, Arthur Darlage, Marjorie Davidson, Marion Fleenor, Billy Kinworthy. Betty Robbins, Richard Beickman, Clair Owens, Herman Sitterding, Her- bert Hehman, Harry Collingsworth and Marie Stuckwisch. We were also very sorry to hear of the death of one of our most talented students, Ben- nie Persinger, who died last fall. During this year we gained three new members-Margaret Perry, Elwyn Winks, and Tom Garner. Although we didn't win the class tourney, we did win the class track meet. Glen Banks and Harry Forgey represented the class in the Latin Contest. Harry Forgey also brought honor to himself and the class by winning second place in the county contest. This winter our class also put on a dinner. The weather was in our favor and therefore it was quite a success. We also had two candy sales. Our sponsors in our Freshman year were Mr. Sanks and Mrs. Con- ner. This year we owe our advancement as a class to our sponsor, Mr. Akers. PI'GSid9Hf ............. ........
