Tl-IE STAFF School days once past are forever gone, Time passes quicklyg flies on and on, Shadows have softened each golden hour To relive school days is Memory's power. There comes a time to human minds when memory, the agency that links to-gether past and future, fails to bring back clearly by-gone days. In view of this fact, the Senior Class of 1938 decided to publish an an- nual in order to preserve the memories of their days at school. It should also give to others a living representation of life at school-its hopes, plans, joys and disappointments. The members of the Staff have worked diligently and faithfully to give as true and vivid a reproduction as it lies within the power of hu- man hands to give. Such efforts shall be well repaid if they serve to carry on and upbuild the school spirit. President .lean Fowler Editor-in-Chief ,, ,,,,,,, ., ,Thomas Kieffer Business Mgr. Kestncr President Lucas Vermilya Secretary Treasurer THE SCHOOL BGARD Students of the Brownstown High School benefit more than they real- ize from the wise supervision of the members of our school board. Their personal supervision, their keen judgment and progressive spirit has con- tributed much to the advancement of our school. E. N. Kestner has been a member of the board for quite a number of years and is greatly interested in the cause of education. Herschel Vermilya is an alumnus of the Brownstown High School, and of course he is in sympathy with every forward movement and there will be no retrogression by his vote and influence. Harry Lucas another alumnus is a new member on the board. He takes a keen interest in the affairs of the school and is one of the men who wants the best for his school. The Class of 1938 feels indebted to all the persons who have been in official control of the affairs of the school during the time we have been students and wish to register now our appreciation of their services. They also wish to thank the business people and all others who have helped them by advertising and in every other way to make this book possible. I , 1 v
