SENIDR CLASS HISTORY The class of 34 entered hugh school wrth 30 members After the usual derrsne lundclaps and scalprngs we settled down to work and sex eral members made good show lngs ID contests and rn athletncs We suffered some parnful embarrassments at the unlor Reeeptron mueh to the amusement of others Wrth Mr Lowe IS our sponsor we chose green and whrte for our class colors and a whrte rose for our class flower Our officers were Mrldred Nrerman president and Thelma ohnson secretary treasurer NX e started our Sophomore year with 4 members We had lost Maurrtta Knndred I lea Brow nlng Llecta Mmuel Esta Hall Catharlne Borders Arthur Grxder and How ard lubker and h 1d gained Albert Rernbold Thrs year we asslsted ID teaching the Freshmen the ways of the hugh school Under the able leaderslup of Mrs Gossman we had 1 profrtable and enjoyable year XX'e gaxned rn both the knowledge of books and a knowledge of the ways of the worll Our class offrcers were Mildred Nrerman presxdent and une Denny secretary treasurer In the fall of 5' we returned to school wrth 1 determrnatron to succeed We had but we had also gamed Twlnk Brooke and Daisy Qolllngsworth This year along wrth the Semors we vrslted the State Legislature at Indranapolrs We learned several things about legislation and tlso about Indlanapolns We sold candy at basketball games gave home made candy sales serx ed banquets sponsored movmg prctures put on the annual unror Carnnal and finally succeeded ln obtamrng enough money to entertaln the hrgh school at one of the best unlor Receptrons rn many years Many thanks to our capable sponsor Mrss Denny Shortly after school was out we went on an all day outing to Heflm s camp where we enjoyed ourselves by swrmmrng tenms dancing and eating We had as offrcers this year Bob Vermrlya president Darsy Collrngsworth secretary une Denny treasurer As Semors we returned with more drgnrty and preserverance than ever before We had lost Herbert Berckman and Albert Rernbold however we garned Farrell Boofer Marvxn Smith and Chrrstme O Nell Thus leaves us a graduating class of 24 member We felt somewhat refreshed by our rest durlng the summer and rmmedrately set out on a money makmg campalgn for the annual Agarn we sold everythmg from lead pencils to mmce meat We gave a Senror Play and fmally succeeded rn publrshrng an annual The basketball boys rn our class secured the Old Shavmg Mug for us by wrnnrng the class tourney Thrs year our leaders were une Denny president Daxsy Collrngsworth secretary james Lockman vrce presndent Dorothea Foster treasurer Although we go out m lnfe to greater conquests we wrll new er forget our hugh school days 'Il II ll II Il 'II II 1 9 3 4 - - ------ Page F ouriern mul' IIII ullll llllllllllll Ill Ilu umll ull lllum V .Z A ' 1 ' .
