H Y i y y THE LAST ROUNDUP As I was snttnng nn my armehanr one day I suddenly realized that nt was the 70th an nnx ersary of the day on whnch I had graduated from hngh school I pncked up the tele phone and called my old frnend and classmate Dorothea Foster cnknns of Phoennx Arnzona She was stnll looknng well and sand she felt cnergetnc so I asked her to come to my home nn Brownstown for a wnsnt and to talk over old tnmes She was 1 wndow of twenty years havnng marrned Davnd enknns back nn the year 1943 She arrnved an hour and thnrty Exe minutes later by plane and after many questions concerning each other s health we fell to remnnnscnng 'lhe question arose as to whether or not we could account for all the members of our class I told her that one of my great grandchildren had bought one of the new Self Cool nng refrigerators from a man named Ashcraft Upon uestnonnn hnm I had learned that he was the youngest grandchnld of Dansy Collnngswort n Ashcra t Dorothea sand she to the mnllnons that he ha made as president of the Unnted Anr Lnnes of America was to wed a famous socnety beauty whom she learned by further readnng was a descendant of Chrnstnne O nenl This lead to a dnscussnon of anr planes and the wonderful improve ments that had been made snnce we were young Speaking of anr planes made us remem ber that Reva Spray had marrned an aviator who had been knlled a few years later Neither one of us had heard of Reva after that What ever became of Kathryn Gossman7 Dorothea asked Oh I sand When the Prohnbntnon Amendment came up again nn 1950 she was one of the most ardent supporters in Indiana After the amendment was passed she was elected sheriff of Lake County Indiana Well that surely ns news to me sand Dorothea Have you heard about the at tempt to assassinate the presndent of China?
