Music N-3' Lai., The chorus consists of fifty-nine members. They participate in the spring contests and County Musical Festival. Band and chorus are elective classes taking place during third period. The grade students practice between 8:20 and 3:45 each morning. High school students have sectional rehearsals during different Jeriods throuffhout the day. o l z: There were twenty-six band and chorus members participating in the District Solo and Ensemble Contest. We hope each returned with a first. The B.H.S. concert band consists of sixty-three members while the marching band has a few less. M10 J

Quill uncl Scroll Quill and Scroll. newly organized here last year. is a national honorary society for the promotion and betterment of school publications. and for the rewarding of achievements of individuals in this field. Members are chosen from the junior and senior classes on the basis of outstanding contributions to the school publications and must rank in the upper third of their respective classes scholastically. Beverly Spangler is the sole member remaining from last year. New members taken in during the second semester were, first row: Nancy Smith. Mildred English. Beverly Spangler. Dorothy Carter. School Paper The School newspaper. this year dubbed the lJoghouse. again was published monthly by the 1,-onimercial department. Beverly Spangler served as Editor: Dona Hollawav. as Artist: Judy Williams as Nlimeograph Operator. The many others who helped with the many jobs im olved in producing the paper are pictured below.
