Our Prophec Just think. it has been twenty years since I grad- uated from B.H.S. and it seems like only yesterday. I am on my way to New York to visit one of my dearest friends. Beverly Spangler. who is an exotic dancer in the harem of King Farouk. I met Bev at the station and guess whom I saw! Barbara Mouron. who just flew in from Hollywood. where she makes wigs for bald movie stars. Barbara told us that Dick Burns didn't turn out very well: he bootlegs Chanel No. 5. As we walked out of the station we saw. much to our surprise, Mildred English. campaigning for president of Blah Blah Blah. Unlimited. We then boarded a sightseeing bus and met Bob Brown. its driver. As we rounded a corner I recognized Nadine Copeland selling flowers from a sidewalk cart. with Connie Boltz as her helper. When we reached the hotel. I bought a magazine and discovered that Judy Williams is now writing a feature called 6'Your Garden and You for the Will- nevergrow Seed Company. As I entered my room. the telephone rang. It was Harlene Newcom wanting me to have dinner with her. She told me that she is now a wine taster. an interesting occupation, I had a few hours before dinner so I turned on TV and found that Beverly Kelsheimer has her own TV show on homemaking called g'Can't Sew a Stitch. After it was over I switched channels and found that Bill Brown has replaced Jack Webb as Sgt. Joe Friday. As he had always been the quiet type, the part fitted him very well. Harlene picked me up for dinner and on our way. we met Norma Mitchell. who is manufacturing uncurling irons. la. ,E 4 v 1' While we were eating, who should come up but Neil Linn who is now an FBI agent trying to dis- cover how certain shady characters smuggle false teeth. We found Kenny Phillips and Larry Randle eating at the next table. We learned that Kenny is a pilot for PLOP airlines, and Larry is a general in the Marines. They told us that Winson Smith makes radiators for condemned buildings, and that Tom Clossey is the Dairy Queen King. After dinner we went to the show and in the news- reel we saw Donna Agan. who is a lady daredevil driver. Afterwards we went to a restaurant for a snack and found Alma Kiger. Delores Darland. and Joan Timmons. Alma is our goodwill ambassador to Inner Mongolia. Delores and Joan are happily mar- ried and have nice families. They said that Barry Kelley is a hermit berry picker. and Don Waterman manufactures elevator shoes. The next day I walked down to the lobby and met Barbara Martin and Betty Alexander. They told me that Barbara now runs a home for old ladies and Betty trains turtles. Janet Haycox is a dress de- signer-for dolls. Ann Pickett also designs. aprons for dishwashers. Linda Eller manufactures pencils with no leads for people with exceptionally dark secrets. When I got back to my room I decided to call Loretta Vance. a pretzel twister for the Curley Q Pretzel Co. We decided to meet for lunch. On my way to the restaurant I saw a large crowd and went to investigate. Don Scott was asleep in a store win- dow. He now holds the world's record for the long- est sleeper fother than Rip van Winklejg he slept for 1293 hours and 35 minutes. making him late again. He represents the Kantrest Mattress Company. 'max
