Class History In the fall of 1963, fifty tearfilled boys and girls left home to go to school for the first time. Now looking back, we have had many sad, but happy times together. Some of us have gotten a bit taller or a little smarter, but most of all the greatest of friends. We were the first class to enter kindergarten in the new school. One highlite of kindergarten was show and tell. Everyone seemed to have a bigger and better story to tell than the other. Mrs. Hurlbut had a few minor problems with wet pants and alot of tears, but she managed to send us on. In first grade we still had our idiot mittens and our big, black writing pencils. Pat Sullivan proposed to Ellen Nigg and she accepted. Beside the usual mischief, nothing else happened, so on we went! Returning in August, the majority of us had cowboy boots. We started a new game-kicking each other in the shins. The boys were still running from the girls and dodging all the kisses. In May we were set free !!! In third grade ALL the girls were wearing dresses. What happened since then? Time sure flies when you are having fun. In the fourth grade many of the noise-makers became intellectuals. What do you expect from coping the dictionary?? Moving right along . . . Fifth grade started out with Smile, even if it kills you! Remember Gene making Mrs. McDonald cry, then she sat on a pie. DeAllyn Christensen stole the show by throwing up on Mrs. Zinter's lap!! We held up the tradition of studing Greek Mythology and Mt. Everest. Remember all the good times in square dancing?? During art we used watered down glue and metracal cans. Sixth grade passed fast.
